Let us understand the difference between UPS and Inverter:
UPS is the short form of Uninterrupted Power Supply. As the name suggests, UPS gives you immediate current when your main power goes off. The devices/equipment’s will not feel any interruption in the process of switch over, hence uninterruptible. An UPS is a wholesome package that contains a battery and an inverter. The electricity stored in the form of Direct Current (DC) in batteries is converted to Alternate Current (AC) in order to power the electronic devices. This conversion of current from DC to AC is done by an Inverter. Thus, an UPS is wholesome package compared to an Inverter. Inverter is a device with the simple circuit system that converts DC to AC and cannot supply current without a DC source.
How to find batteries for Inverter & Home UPS?
Battery plays a very important role in determining the performance of the inverter or UPS. So, choosing the best battery based on your requirements is vital. Batteries are selected based on their capacity. A battery capacity is the rate of current the battery can supply for a given duration; this is expressed in Ampere hour (Ah). If your battery is not strong enough it might lead to Inverter not powering up or may to lead discharge issues.
Typical capacity of Batteries may vary from 100 Ah to 200Ah.
In SF Sonic we have three types of Inverter Batteries:
- SF Sonic Power Punch
- SF Sonic Power Box
- SF Sonic Ready Power
SF Sonic also offers Home UPS battery.
These batteries are specially designed to withstand the Indian weather conditions. Excessive heat during summer, leads more power consumption which results in frequent and longer power cuts in the country. SF Sonic Inverter and Home UPS batteries are specially designed to meet this demand.
